Kartik, Naira and the entire family did apologise to Vedika and felt bad for her. They offered to always be there for her if she needed them. It was only when Vedika turned evil, that they joined hands to expose her. Even then Naira and Kartik were pretty understanding of her state of mind and parted ways with absolutely no grudges. Also why are we comparing apples and oranges here? The situations in the two generations are entirely different. Whilst Abhir may be Kartik’s grandson, he is not half the man his grandfather was.
