The rest of your post I agree! Amruta "says" a lot of things but hardly ever follows through. She did it with the men, but also with Ishika and Priyanka

The sense I meant it was 'stand up for her when Babs talks crap to her'. This felt particularly odd when he will talk back to Vandy (not defending her - she needed to be)... but will go 'please mom' with Babs. They could've shown him doing something when they were kidnapped, not waiting and hallucinating at home.

btw.... dont know if you noticed this (it was some other member here who first pointed it out) he always wanted her to trust him (more) in convos with her (either when she is sleeping or in a conscious state). She's the one who sometimes says 'I trust you'... haven't heard that from him to her (may say that to someone else). Probably happened during Jayesh-Ishika wedding... idk. He always had that space where he cant trust her as much as she does (despite what he has done).

He said it many times after Shubh ke saath naatak shuru hua tha. Maybe he didn't use the words I trust you, but he said it many times ya....

Totally agreed on the first para. Don't get me started on Ahujas' behaviour during kidnapping track. Mujhe mera paara nahi chadhana aaj!

I'll have to recheck on the first para... fwi remember its not there - he never left the zone where he didn't make me think he can flip leading to the leap. Fortunately he didn't... but given how the leap is going, I'd have preferred that over this.

Haan see the eps from when they started having fake fights and the divorce thing also came up. I never thought for once he would flip. And he never suspected Amruta's intentions regarding Shubh, he only suspected Shubh. And for me, having insecurities (which Virat definitely had) is not necessarily mistrust. It is more fear of losing someone. And woh toh Amu had bhar-bhar ke for Priyanka once she accepted she is in love.

Thats not the impression I had after her first dance with Shubh, when he got drunk and said things. Dialogues should've helped better. His thought after the dance on Christmas was definitely Shubh centric.

Fear of losing someone. Yeah... but then fear of losing someone who has been around despite the crap you did to her? To me that is lack of trust. As a viewer I knew Ammu wont leave - and since they set the bar of 'badness' so high in the mela, I dont know what can be worse... (I know... but dont think they will go there). Ammu's insecurity sounds better in comparison - given what he has done... there is a valid precedent.
