Infertility track where Ar was made mute for MG, 3 months post marriage track ( though they altered narrative now) for building Ab- Ruhi bond for IR, license cancellation for RK's entry.. there are more where it was not consistent with character arc at that point and there will be more in future. But yes, Bhavna puts good efforts in showing his pov/ conflict and his realization if/ when he has done something wrong which is more than what we can expect from FL centric itv shows..

But this is not limited to ITV - even the Pak show we are watching is having the same issue, where for narrative purposes they make the ML dumb enough to behave in ways that his character would otherwise never do.

But here I have to give credit that atleast in Armaan's case there is somewhat of a realisation that he is not just wrong, but continuously unfair to Abhira & himself, especially when he is influenced by his family. Yehi milna bahut badi baat hai

Absolutely not... this whole scene would have been elevated atleast a tad bit if they had made Abhira and Armaan talk before hand and then added a line to say I can't decide what Abhira wants cos she's not my property but I'm aware of all my faults yada yada and given the extreme choice, I'd make this decision for myself cos that's who I am but I also want to let u know that Abhira is capable of making her own choices..

Guys, sorry to burst your bubble but Bhavna is just the screenplay writer as in she writes directions on how the scene should play out for cameras. The overall story, the individual tracks and dialogues are written by Zama Habib/Vaishali Naik/Divy Sharma/Ghanshyam, etc. The ones we should be blaming for awful storylines is these guys not Bhavna. She literally just translates their ideas into practical directions for the camera and actors.

Point sirf itna hi hai.. that when the story demands it, the makers will play with any and all characters.. Kya ML, Kya FL.. anyone can act irrationally and then do a u-turn also suddenly.. we just need to take it all with a giant pinch of salt.. yeah sure it's possible they play with one character more than the other continually, but that doesn't mean anything more than the fact that they're milking the cow that milks more at the time!!

This whole thing that ML/FL is being compromised to lift the other is really just excuses we want to give ourselves when the one we like better falters..

I don't expect Bhavna to ever provide "real redemption" to Armaan. RK was a temporary character. Writing for leads is so messed up .so her doing justice to a temporary character is too much to expect

While the premise was stupid, I really did love the episode. Armaan on self depreciated mode & Abhira being his perfect partner in supporting him for that role, jab ki donon ko hi pata hai that neither is going anywhere.

Also Armaan talking like Bhavna picked up some dialogues from here and X about how he destroyed Abhira - it was anti climatic to say the least, especially after knowing what's coming up in the precap itself, forget BTS.

Baaki Shivani was good with her reactions and I FFed RK today coz I was already annoyed with the other 2 for being stupid "tyagis"

Oh, my gosh! The whole thing is not just stupid, but very stupid! But damn it, if I didn't live those 2 duffers.. Armaan acknowledged all his faults, which was good to see, and Abhira stood by him, because she's genuinely forgiven him. And the office scene was also nice.

Baaki toh while I find RK very irritating, he said one thing right today. They should change their names from Poddar and Sharma to Tyagi and Tyagi. Why are they like this? Both of you know that you can't stay without each other.

Long story short, I agree with your post, Aps.
