problem is that yeh shows kaafi weird cheezein promote karte hain and jo cheezein humari society mein abhi bhi acceptable nhi hai unka mazaak udate hain: like the surogacy track in ghum, jhanak being sold at a brothel and constant disrespect of fls at the hands of their in laws and husbands. And krpkab ne bhi regressive stuff dikhaya tha but they didnt revolve around it. and shows like maati and all jahan pe ek shaadi ho jaati ahi and mls dusri bhi ka lete hain.Like there was a show balam thaanedar on child marriage which should've worked at not promoting child marriage but they showed a girl not even 18 trying to gain the validation of her husband whose 10 years elder to her and being pura pati vrata. Also the issue i have with shows these days are the girls are always in college meaning they are 20-21 in age and are married to guys who are in their late 20s with a well established career (the power dynamics in these relationships are weird and that bothers me). Also itv generally shows girls with career aspirations as gold diggers (which i feel bad because these shows validate the thoughts of trp aunties who look down upon career oriented women)

True … but that’s where our differences of opinions comes in. I see a lot of ugly things in real life - women get abused every day, physical and mental, sexual harassment, et all, still there are dowry deaths, female foeticide, and many more. I’m not denying nor am I saying they don’t exist. I’m not delusional.
We as a society see so much ugliness amidst us, I want to turn off my mind - I want to be entertained, not see the same random toxic shit. Is that so much to ask ???? I don’t want a husband to ill treat his wife and call it pyaar. THAT is not pyaar - it’s manipulation and gaslighting at its finest.

What people prefer and don’t prefer is up to them na ? Kuch logon ko “reality” dekhna pasand hogi, mujhe nahi hai.

uk once Shaheer had said in his interview for Krpkab's sucess that the reason KRPKAB was successful was because it aired at prime time when people would watch something just before they would go to sleep and KRPKAB was not that heavy/toxic to watch.

and i stand by this statement. like everyday i see guys gaslighting their gfs treating them like shit but i still like watching movies like student of the year or shows like edkv2 because they are not reality but something we dream off and we can see it through tv/movies only

Exactly man - they maker a joke about serious issues and call it reality aur mere khoon khaulta hai.

Surrogacy is a super sensitive topic - but nahi they show the husband asking the wife to relinquish control , to “share” the baby with the bhabhi because she lost her baby / husband - HADD HAI BHAI. if it was up to me, I would have made the wife give one tight slap and leave the guy forever. He doesn’t deserve forgiveness. Isse shaadi shuda rehne se aacha banda akela hi reh jaye.

There isn’t less stigma about divorce. They show a husband’s family or sometimes even the husband himself taunting the wife in a fight about her ex. These are UGLY and totally what I don’t want to see.

If the wife moves on in her life, it’s a crime and she’s to be taunted. Sorry if this is the so called reality they wanna show, I’m calling it quits.

When marriage is not legally registered 🙄 and worse that man had another legally wedded wife that is the name " second wife " gets !She won't get " pension, or PF : nothing from husband ...Mistress is the world society use not me ....If Mohit had really loved her he would have made her legally wedded wife ...He is a double timer another thing looking at the way Lakshmi behaves difficult to love her ...

I have a doubt. If these are the same Chavan’s from Gen 1 toh ye Satish kon hai as Sonkar only has one son, Mohit. I thought he was a just a relative however he called Omkar, Baba which means that he is his son.

Or maybe he is the son of Omilekha…
