I was going to post here last night but slept 😂. Apparently, ML gave credit to his wife aka FL than mom for his award. Which was correct, he put appropriately why does he think that she deserves the credit. It was very logical, and subtle sending message to his mom kala is my wife by acknowledging at the stage and asking her to come on the stage to share his award. Later Kala tells him for party her style, so he finds out why she likes and what would be her type of party.

So makers gave a closure to a loop where his mom constantly says she is not our family or his wife.
I think the pre cap is headed for exposure of his cousin and her sister’s scheming. They are the one who jointly tried to kill ML while they were on the way for award ceremony
