But when the makers were showing a trans woman they shouldn't have treated the character in such a way. I had a lot of hope from this show! The theme of the serial was sensitive, so the makers needed to handle the show and the character, Mohini in a different and much better way.

Imho, mainstream ITV shouldn't touch sensitive topics because they make everything a joke and worse, kucch bhi dikhaate hain which defies science and basic biology. There was a show that was marketed as interstate love story like two states which showed the female lead giving birth to a watermelon:
