I don't think abhir did it out of anger. It's majorly because he is tired of yes and no. Kabhi karni kabhi nahi karni hai. Where as kiara is ready even if he asks her middle of the night. He already had enough drama in his life where he has been through do do baap drama in childhood. Then he was raised as orphan. Then when he thought his sister loved she gave him lollipop after sending vidya to jail. He only looking for someone who prioritizes him over everyone. Only kiara does that.

Ruhi chose her family over him.

Abhira chose her doglapanthi over him.

So he was only relied on charu who ditched him multiple times.

So he chose kiara. If they go by this it definitely it makes sense. If he has chosen kiara then he should marry her and stick to her.

In gen 3 also akshara used to priortize random strangers over her family members. Abhir would have had same life like abhimanyu as charu is replica of akshara .
