I think he's hiding because he doesn't want to face her. And because she's there with RK. He may think that she's going to tell him about the proposal and that she has moved on with RK. He's not ready to face it.

I usually laugh when they hide in the cupboard to cry but i felt really bad after looking at the bts. Why is he such an idiot:(

I was waiting for his suffering for a month now but when I saw that pic of him hiding under the table, I felt sad. Still I beleive he deserves it but this man loves Ab, there was never a doubt on that. Seeing her move on would shatter him to bits.

He is such an idiot to belive she would accept but he is on guilt trip and now when he realises how jerk he has been to her and he is the root cause of their misery. He believes that this is the punishment he deserves:(
