Actually read some news article at that time on reddit post!! Apparently it was leaked by source to BCCI!!

Ashwin actually told the selectors beforehand that if they're going to play him in XI then only he would be part of the series. Otherwise he doesn't want to waste his time and spot for youngster too

But selectors convinced him and he wasn't picked in first test. He decided to retire and conveyed the same to Rohit. Rohit convinced him to play second test!!

I really wish he takes up mentorship and coaching. Atleast for U19 like how Dravid took up and VVS is doing now!!

I took leave to watch BGT and I was crying daily looking at the way the team performed!! 😭

They lost to NZ at home

Spin track obsession failed

Then did well in BGT 1st test

But Aussies dominated remaining 4 tests

Ind dominated 1-2 sessions here & there

But batting was horrible

How can bowlers apply pressure (I know Except Bumrah, other bowlers were also not up to the mark) but I read Ind could cross 200 only in 3 innings

Hopefully they do better in Eng series

But pitches will be different

As I said test cricket mindset should be there

Top order constantly failing except Jaiswal
