Well I am not aware that Valmiki Ashram was outside Ayodhya and Koshal kingdom. Also in the version I read which is the supposed Valmiki version Shri Lakshman did not cross any river with Sita . He was just driving a chariot. I was also shocked to read that she was left in the forest like that. Probably ShriLakshman knew that this place was close to the Ashram. In this screen version she also knew what people talked about her and she did not take her life. No Mata does not do that unless Prabhu has that doubt in his mind. And ShriRam never had the doubt in his mind regarding his wife. All the time he was looking for a workaround to make his wife the queen and be with her. Mata knew her Prabhu. That is ehy she did not blame him. The world was like that in those times.

Hahahahaha. The most apt Ravana for me was the actor who was in Ramanand Sagar's version from the beginning .I never really liked the casting of other actors in the same adaptation.People may curse me .I saw various versions but never liked the actors casted for the villain. They were either way too evil looking or too cold and lacked depth.I felt Nikitin was the only guy who looked the part.He had the radiance of a Brahmin and the rogue looks of an asura. But the styling was absolutely horrible. It actually made him looked ridiculous at times.

Earlier I always underestimated the power of styling .But gradually understood it's relevance over the years. For e.g take the example of this show only- Sujay is a decent looking actor who has a great smile. But the styling made him look divine and radiant.Of course, lighting and camera angles play a huge role and now post production touchups are also applied to the place or the actors and background. But the styling did a huge benefit atleast for him.Even Bharat is someone who looks like any other guy who has a good body.Styling made him look chiselled.A conventionally good look actor amongst the lot is Shatrugna .He didn't need much styling but his looks also elevated because of the same.Same goes with Prachi who is a pretty doll like girl but the Indian wear selected worked for her amazingly well.Nikitin acted well for me ( at least better than a lot of other actors in the show) and gave equal takkar to Rama.Post his death ,series impact became less ,more due to shoddy writing skills but also the absence of a very strong opponent.

Jo Ram पुरुषसारज्ञ hai(one who understand a person's character inside out just by Observation),,woh aise bhramit ho jaate hai 1 vyakti aake ghuma firaakar cunningly baate tod mod kar bolta hai usse woh bhi apne faithful bhai Lakshman ke prati...this is their script for a Righteous King.

And dialogues to waah ji waah👏👏👏

Ram,RamRajya,Lakshman inka jo max. Possible apmaan kar sakte the,,aur jo max. possible Mazaak bana sakte the,,aaj bana Diya hai inlogone,,iske aage muje kuch nahi bolnasmiley7smiley7smiley35smiley7smiley7

I'll search for a soft wall, look at it and imagine banging my head. I don't have the energy to waste on trying to make sense...

After all this time, all it took for Shurpanakha to cease to exist (and this is the first time I heard of her taking jalsamadhi, which is only possible for pure souls with high yogic prowess) was Luv Kush dialogues... Shrimad LuvKushayan in full swing again... She's a good actress but the character was dragged so much that I am glad it came to a close...

The last part was painful to watch. So much manipulation does not fit in Ramayan. The story is meant to be fairly straightforward except for very few instances.

Couldn't we have had some family bonding time before Bhumipravesh... That would have been better than citizens getting possessed.

Lakshman had every right to prevent enemies from entering the court. It's his duty.

Just too tired smiley18

Nikitin was one of the best Ravans I have seen so far. He's the only person who managed to create the menacing aura which could be felt across the screen. Others were classic portrayal and some were even sassy but Nikitin was amazing. His portrayal brought out the maniacal, raw and rustic side of Ravan never shown or never realised. Hats off to his performance. I liked his costumes, it gave a very raw, rustic and beastly feel. Hairstyles might have been off here and there but he did an excellent job.

And yes, Sujay's make up and styling makes him look like Ram while I always got the vibes of Krishna from him. I never recognised he was Bharath in SKR until someone mentioned it.

In my opinion, if Sita had know beforehand she was going to be banished, there's a high chance she would have attempted to give up her life. She's the woman who followed her husband into exile for the only reason she couldn't live away from him. But there's also a chance she would think of her children and would try to hold on until they are settled. And yes, Rama silently held his staunch vows of never remarrying hoping that people would one day realise that he never suspected Sita and she was blameless.

Lakshman ferrying Sita across the Ganga and Sumant being the charioteer for this mission is mentioned in the Valmiki Ramayan. Ram ordered Lakshman to take Sumant as the charioteer. He probably realised his brother would be too devastated to return on his own.

The world wasn't like that those times, hence many argue that the banishment never happened. But Valmiki Ramayan never mentions Sita after the coronation. It states that Rama performed many yagas/yagyas along with his sons but never mentions they were done with his wife, which would have been the case of Sita remained in Ayodhya. The alleged extrapolated chapters mention that Rama continued to keep the golden statue installed at every sacrifice he performed. Valmiki Ramayan mentions the passing of the queen mothers but nothing about the wives of Rama's brothers.
