Honestly they both are being stupid. Armaan hit her where it hurts the most because he knew she will not give up unless he does. Also why uske saamne he never once let it show that he is actually dying inside. He has no plans to reconcile, coz if he did, he would make sure she gets her license back (which he anyway will, but will not let Abhira know) and apologize to her till she forgives him like he did after the bachcha reveal. But Armaan doesn't want it both for him & her sanity, given the current situation.

As for the Abhira, she is genuinely hurt but needs time & space before she can even think of moving on. So her hoping for Armaan's call on their anniversary or him assuming that she wants alimony hurts her because she still wants that he not think bad of her or that he still cares for her. This is normal as they had a child together & spent almost a full yeah happily together.

Also yeh baat bhi hai that Armaan & Abhira right now are actually seperated by circumstances. Neither broke the relationship because they fell out of love or they no longer wanted the other in their life. So then wanting the other back is quite normal.
