Lol nothing makes sense here in this case.. Guy whom police caught looks entirely different than the one who was shown in cctv.. Or whom they showed in cctv is not the attacker and some cleaner or what? 
The latest guy caught vaguely looks like the one from the CCTV footage. The angle of photo is different and the skin tone/lighting is different too but possibly there is otherwise a resemblance. There are other photos of an attacker, which seem to match.
He had demanded 1 crore. Perhaps his intention had been to take the infant as hostage.
He went there with a weapon that he ended up using, it's not a simple case of dispute with maid or even ordinary burglary gone wrong.
He had allegedly worked at the house as a cleaner in the past but it's not necessary that he had interacted with Kareena or Saif and even knew it was their house and if he was from Bangladesh, he may not even recognise them as Bollywood celebs.
Some people believe there could be a communal angle to the case but some are finding it hard to believe an illegal immigrant could be so dangerous and foolish. This tweet was put out just recently.

This is all speculation, of course. Anyway, regardless of the motive, it's a shocking and disturbing crime indeed.
The accused seems to have two lawyers...both of them state that the police couldn't present any proof that the accused is a Bangladeshi... he would - in the contrary - be a resident already living there since 7 years (with documents).

It is easy to get documents made. Illegal migrant Bangladeshis do it all the time.

Illegal immigrants do better than getting involved in a high profile case and then showing off their faces just before taking off. There are documentaries available in the internet on how they survive.

There are umpteen number of cases of illegal Bangladeshi migrants who work mostly as daily wage labourers or househelp and get caught in petty crimes to burglary cases. It has gotten highlighted this time because the house belongs to a Bollywood celeb.
