I dont need anything to justify Karan's actions. I have already said it , it was a harmless joke. There wasnt a single demeaning word in that sentence or joke....neither fr Viv nor for his kid.
Was it unnecessary ? Sure. But was it degrading as the whole of ddt is trying to make it ? Nope it wasnt.
These jokes are pretty common amongst friends and are always in good humor.

So as I said I watched the part. Karan himself brought his divorces and started joking about it so I don't think vivian can be questioned for getting personal in this case. That licence wali baat that vivian said was clearly not about divorce. But after that karan indirectly made it his divorce topic and joked about it
