People say shitty things in anger, so I am not going to hold onto that. Abhira did ask if what would have he done if same thing happened to his brother, and then he went humarey relationship ka kya or something like that Armaan knows he is in the wrong in this case, which is why he is lashing out. BUT what he needs to understand that filing or fighting the case is Abhir's decision, Abhira is simply supporting his choice, like she should as he is the victim.

Armaan had months and months of character growth. They actually spent 4 months over him finally questioning his family and all that they instilled in him.

But after those four months this regression seems like a disrespect to the writing itself.

Why build a character if the endgame is to destroy him?

This is even more sad because I actually loved his character.

He grew up in toxic environment where he should be indebted for everything and follow poddars and provide for them. And never think about himself and his own khushi.

But after getting someone who loves him and realisation of true colours of hid family he changed his habits and started questioning them.

Now it's back to square one so all the development in this matter had gone to waste.

After 2+ years vo same galti thodi naa dohrahyega, it's against his character but vahiyat writing aur sabse vahiyat dialogue writing.
