Also I remember in TB marital rape fiasco,its mainly the Indian audience who did twitter trends and forced makers to change the scene...otherwise in many dramas in PTV,emotional and physical abuse hasn’t been shown in a negative light and done by heroes, and later on heroing forgets everything and goes back to the hero..without hero getting proper redemption.

The problem with PTV is that they are too much habituated of watching either regressive heroes or too goody hero...but if any hero is somewhere in between they start having issues.

I understand what's the story all about but they clearly lacked the vision of understanding the sentiments of today's audience..the present audience is global (not only Pakistanis) and they watch shows for entertainment not for moral lessons...if possible they could have balanced moralities and entertainment together but they really failed in this dept..that's why after every episode I get frustrated even if the episodes are not exactly bad.

Sometimes I actually feel that the backlash he show is facing is justified..so that producers in future never market any show with actors name and for chemistry sake..

I still don’t feel the over backlash is justified, there are more crap shows running and many are just behind this as it has Wahaj in it and the writer is KRQ

yeah it's not about glorification. lots of Pakistanis do not want to see alcoholism or adultery or gaalis explicitly shown on tv, even by negative characters, because they think it normalizes such behaviours or do not want to see /explain these to minors watching tv. domestic violence sadly has become too normalized on tv that people don't even blink an eye. lots of shows have suicide but its wayyyyy too much in smd - threatened/attempted by multiple cktrs on multiple occasions and multiple episodes just harping on it. suicide has gotten more ss than wahaj in this show.

genuinely asking what are these crap shows more problematic and worse written than smd running right now on 8 pm?

Even I feel like the backlash is too much...because people had lot of expectations from Wahaj and Maya as a pair and also since a controversial person like KRQ is involved..its getting more backlash.

But sometimes I feel like the backlash is justified because of lack of vision in terms of direction and production house...they are just dragging this unnecessarily.

Plz yaar hypno...Iqtidar is a total crap in terms of story..Just because its getting views and chemistry is liked by the audience,doesn't mean its a good story.

The heroine is very strong that's the only good thing..but the hero is spineless and all her in laws are toxic and regressive...its just that masses can relate to this type of story...and since people are so love deprived in their own lives,if you give them romance,they don't care about anything else...and hail it as the "best drama" "best chemistry "

The MR was final nail in the coffin after all the abuse they have glorified in the show.

More than backlash, people didn’t want them to ruin Murtasim. It’s crazy to think the amount of tweets that got! Tere Bin craze was on some other level.
