A big factor in OSTs success in the past has been it's similarity to an old hit song of the past.

asal badla to haseeb ne liya hai but what.

NJ was a ghissa pitta script that 8 directors turned down. But Musaddiq gave it such a modern fresh treatment. Ek to kahani outdated upar se Haseeb also tried to double down and make it like some 1960s film with I hate tears pushpa level wali overacting. And the pace don't even get me started, Regressive hot mess shows can be entertaining. Hasseb with his Merchant & Ivory shots and pace made this maha boring.
