Vivian is pretty terrible at defending himself because it's so obvious he is faking this rivalry. All things said, Vivian is bad at faking things in general (which is a good thing imo), so no wonder he can't really stand up for himself here.
KV on the other hand has to keep stretching this topic unnecessarily - like Eisha said, he has told you he's not your friend, then why bother to ask for clarity?
