Sorry to butt in, but if story ever decided the TRPs, Anupamaa wouldn't have been reigning supreme for as long as it did.. they stopped telling any good story long long ago.. it's almost always the TRPs dictating how the story goes . For very many years now.. not just for Rishta, but for every other show..

Unfortunately, in itv trp decides story.I have seen good itv shows getting flopped.

If story matters then web series are best.

Itv ke story ko koi seriously nahi leta. rishte is on air from past 15 years. Makers know what they are doing. If this track doesn't get trp, they will move to some other track. It's as simple as that.
