Wahaj had some incredible scenes but his performance was overall inconsistent. He won't even make top 10 best ptv performances of 2024 by any reviewer or yt channel, big or small.

This was riding on Wahaj. Itne bade budget ka mega drama kabhi itna bada flop nahi hua in Geo's history other than Ishq Hua (but that was Kaddu ka beta and a miniseries). Itna fuzool drama karo with such dismal TRP toh you need to get JN type views to come out as a winner.

Feroze is back in good graces of Kaddu and getting good projects with him. If the next Wahaj project is a dud, Wahaj is going to be the next Imran Abaas or Affan Waheed. Imran Abbas ko 14 saal lage to get to this point par Wahaj ne yeh karnaama 14 months main dikha dya.

90 % of their scripts are crappy but they expected Wahaj to bring in the trps and views just like Danish or Feroze do. Mein is not a failure commercially. It’s trps were the 2nd best for Wahaj after TB.

Even if he waits for the "right" script...it will take another one or one and half yr to get a drama which will have a commercial success as well as critical acclaim..that would be a total stupidity from Wahaj's part because he is not SRK or Salman or Ranbir Kapoor that people would remember him if he disappears for 2 yrs or more..

Bilal Abdullah is not a bad character..rather he is carrying the whole show..IMO how the show ends is more important...if towards the end of the show,his character remains like this,than yeah this project has failed Wahaj.

I had a problem with Mein because no one would remember Wahaj as the lead in that show so that commercial success is not because of him.

i have been watching maya since ek nayee cindrella and aunn zara days. i used to really like osmaya. her chemistry with obi and sherry are better than her chemistry with wahaj. i also really like bilal and may in yunhi. many ppl did not like yunhi but i thought it was a really good drama. maya acting was iffy in the first few episodes but she was good e8 onwards. that drama was slow paced but not like smd. yunhi was very soothing to watch like sailiing in a boat in a river on a nice spring day.

in last on year, he has only done smd. the thing is when you do one project a year, that one project needs to be good and not a bomb like smd. agar smd jaise projects karne hain toh you need to balance with good maybe indie smaller scale projects in parallel.

He should announce something soon . That might reduce the negativity and take some of the attention away from SMD for some time.
