there's a diff between saying mahaj don't have chemistry vs they don't have chemistry in smd. we have seen their chemistry in JBG and in ads and ps. But in smd, the characterization, writing, direction, etc etc has not given us chemistry. if all we have to show for chemistry are 2-3 scenes that will air after 27 episodes and an imagination sequence in e19, you have lost the already.

general audiences do not over analyze. they don't see bts or photoshoots or even remember pre-release teasers. if you do a poll right now "kya aap ko bilal sadaf ki jodi pasand aa rahi hai in SMD", i bet you will get many Nos because the show has failed to deliver them a couple to care about or root for.

In 21 episodes we hardly got 6 scenes and one dream sequence. That one dream sequence is the only romantic scene we got till now in all 21 episodes which is loved by almost all .

Fact is whenever mahaj are given romance they just give that hotness feels . Take their mobile launch , mushq ps, park view ad, dream sequence of smd .. these are the ones where they actually did romance and almost all of them were viral .

And where they were not given romance you cannot obviously feel romantic chemistry in whatever 6 scenes we got till now in smd. Except the first eye lock all others were very emotional scenes or heart breaking scene of rejecting .

That’s what I’ve been saying all along, makers have messed up Bilal-Sadaf to a point where I no longer empathize or enjoy their scenes together. Chemistry doesn’t just mean, romantic scenes. It can be between any 2 characters on screen🤷‍♀️ I’m glad you’re able to see their chemistry, but for me it’s yet to happen. Also we’re discussing different perspectives —- What’s shown in OST vs What’s being served in the show.

What’s shown in OST / off screen / other series or ads - Great 👍

What’s being served in SMD - Crap 🤮🤢 I’m here to see Mahaj & their chemistry shown in OST & BTS, 20 episodes already and still no sign🤷‍♀️I can’t form my opinion of Mahaj chemistry in SMD based on what I’ve seen offscreen or in their previous shows.

I agree with you hypno and I understand what you're saying about what general audience feels..

It has lot to do with the writing ....but now the story is such where they can't be a couple. Sadaf has to go through the toxicity to realize and understand love...I wish it wasn't written like that but I hope jo raita failaya hai woh jald samet lein.

Just saw SH review...they also lost interest and they are planning not to review this show anymore..at least till wahaj has a significant role.

Personally I have seen some moments…I thought Bilal’s proposal scene was very effective from his side and also the conversation they had right before the wedding. The way Sadaf looked back at him as she was dragged away in that scene was also effective in my opinion as was the scene when she was looking for him after the Nikkah. This is it for now, that is the extent of what we got. It also didn’t go anywhere. I think people really, really want to see chemistry nowadays I guess and personally I feel we’re fixated on it. I think it’s what the general audience wants…I’m ok without it at this point because it makes no sense to the story otherwise. I also understand that’s not what most people want. What I didn’t want were the romance scenes between Sadaf and Ammar…I’m just hoping enough time will pass after those scenes so I can burn them from my memory. The biggest issue right now is that people cannot empathize with Sadaf. Let’s see if they are able to redeem her.

I think this all important parts of the story. I really don’t think we are supposed to like Sadaf right now. She was wrong in her assessment of Bilal and Ammar. She was wrong because instead of believing what she was seeing with her own 2 eyes, her own pre-existing biases caused her to believe the wrong people. People these days just want to see chemistry and nothing else...and also because of the marketing ,people knows that the real hero heroine is sadaf and bilal...so People are just eagerly waiting for bilsad romance to start..but in my assessment,the show would be 40-50 epis not less than that..abhi sara romance dikha dega toh baad mein kuch nahi bachega.

Right now bilal sadaf can't be a couple.. because Sadaf as a character is very unlikable..even if she somehow got married to bilal instead of ammar,still I wouldn’t have been able to accept sadaf bilal together because sadaf is so unlikable..idk its the character arc or what...but she really needs to realize where she went wrong in her judgement and she also needs to realize that her borderline toxic behavior led her to get stuck in such relationships....only thing which happened between them at the end,before marriage is that Sadaf finally recognized that Bilal is genuinely a nice guy...so aage kya hota hai how she gets divorced and moves on in life...is what matters more than the present buildup.

SH rightfully criticised Maya’s acting this time . Even they couldn’t ignore how bad she is.

SH also pointed out the intimacy. Now it’s feels like that Sadaf has always loved Ammar. Those supposed feelings for Bilal are nothing but lollipop for fans just like the wedding pictures.
