You know why Akshu killed Aarohi? Because she knew that Manhari is not going to accept her as bahu and Abhimanyu had left his job so she needed money to survive. She knew Kairav will leave to settle in US so only Aarohi was the one who could claim a share in Goenkas property so Akshu killed Aarohi.

This was she would have gotten all of the Goenkas property and she could have also used Ruhi by acting as her mother to emotionally blackmail Manjari.

But Ruhi heard what Akshu said and rejected her and when MG did the unexpected by cutting ties. She had to leave but she was furious that's why she decided to raise her ghatiyabhira in a way to spoil Ruhi's life.
