I don't anyone needs the techniques of acting to criticize an actor. An actor's job is to entertain and to make you feel. When an actor fails to move you emotionally, I think it's a failure on their part. Actors might not have time to reflect but they seem to notice viewers' comments. Which is why it is important to provide objective feedback instead of false praise. This is one of the reasons why I made the thread.

I don't know abcd of acting so will not comment. But usually in rishta all actors face issues. It could be due to 7 days airing. Actors literally has no time to reflect what exactly they did on last episode to improve in next week. Even i have noticed hc also had good days and bad days.

I personally heard ropu and sam were good in their previous shows. I have watched all other senior actors shows so they seem to be good in those shows as well as now.

In this show i like garvita and romit more than leads.

When did I call Shruti a decent actor? I just stated that most of the senior actors do well. I didn't go on to elaborate as they aren't given much screenspace.

Why can't I call Garvita a decent actor? Ruhi is a repulsive character no doubt. But a bad character can be played by a good actor just as a good character can be played by a bad actor. Despite Ruhi's villainy, she was able to make people feel for her during the 'miscarriage track'.

I love how any negative feedback on the leads can't seem to be accepted (despite the fact that I provided both positive and negative feedback for most actors). Maybe I should be a blind fan and sing false praises for the leads all the time- the female lead makes me cry buckets of tears with her emotional performances and the male lead is so good that he does not make me cringe with his romance scenes. Does that seem good enough to accept my thread smiley36? Since threads can only be opened to praise the leads all the time.

I can agree on anything but the fact that anyone can call Garvita and Shruti decent actors, is beyond imagination for me. smiley37smiley37You should have spoken truth here rather then unnecessary praise.Your review would have seemed more realistic then. Now it just looks like an excuse to criticize Samriddhi.

But everyone is entitled to their opinion, so are you. Please enjoy their performance. You can see Shruti's full potential during curse episode. Such great acting, I don't have words to compliment it.smiley42smiley42

It survived. But seems like the atom bomb is starting to go off. How dare I criticize the leads?

yes you have all rights to criticize and provide feedback 🙂 I just opted out from commenting about that as i skip their scenes. I just commented on this post to put out my general observations which i saw during gen 3.

Contrary to the popular opinion I liked aao nayi bahu aao scene smiley37 Given this kind of a scene , how are they supposed to perform ? It Turned out to be great entertainment the way she did it ..infact it's a memorable moment for gen 4 smiley37it's like.gopi bau laptop scene cmon ! Iconic .

It's more difficult to play despicable characters..they're asked to perform scenes with theatrics, I'm sure they're not doing it on their own

I don't care about leads here anymore so you are more than welcome to say anything about them and I won't care at all.

But Garvita is not a good actor. Her acting is one the main reason why I left this show and well the rubbish story also. Her performance is almost non survivable. Her expressions, her dialogue delivery everything is bad and worst part is that she has never even tried to improve that.

I agree with you about all. I am Rohit fan, so I have been disappointed in seeing his acting in this show. Idk what has happened to him because he was great in his previous show. I was anyway disconnected with Armaan’s character after the change in actor, and now the below average or at best the average acting by Rohit isn’t making me like the character even more. I have to connect with the character first no matter how much I may like the actor, but here neither the character nor Rohit’s acting is helping the situation.

I liked Sam’s acting in the beginning, but after the actors change, she became poor. May be her strength is being bubbly and/or the previous lead actors were so weak in acting that she came across better. Also, she is the weakest in emotional scenes. Half of the time I can’t make it if she’s crying or laughing. Also, Rohit and Sam don’t have chemistry or at best very weak chemistry. At best, they look cute as both are good looking but don’t have that chemistry. Sam had better chemistry with Sheh and Rohit with his ex-costars.

The one who has impressed me the most is Garvita which I didn’t expect. I think she had a supporting role in her last show so didn’t expect to pick her fast. Romit is very good too, but he’s a senior actor. He is not utilized properly in this show though. The rest of the cast are good so far.

So true Romit is about 44 my age ..he still looks good..he has acted in many and is a good actor and yea not currently well utilised

In this gen Garv is the better actor..emo scenes ..the breakdown after coma and even the recent dilemma scene of wanting to meet abir or not

Leads are so so ..it is coz their dialogues are so caricature or anupama types ? Bits I saw in beginning sam was better..

That's your opinion and I respect that. One thing I agree with you is the story is rubbish. Plus, the cringeworthy scenes along with the mediocre acting from the leads is also slowly turning me off the show.

Rishta viewer for first two seasons. Didn’t watch 3 rd one except the track that had Ruhi Abhir bond cos I liked child actors specially the girl.

Agree with the main post and appreciate the TM for posting what most of the members here oppose for obvious reasons.

I love Garvita the actress who made me sympathise with Ruhi irrespective of what she did in her past. She really looks the mother who lost her new born.

Eagerly waiting to see Ruhi get her baby back. I don’t bother about the leads with whom I have no connect.

After ages I am commenting on a thread here in IF. Don’t know why I did .
