On this matter of what father will want…. I have a perspective on this and I will share this; I am older than most of you guys here and so will take the liberty of saying this… Do you think as parents we don’t understand where happiness of our children lie? . He was talking like a sensible parent accepting his mistakes but recognising the mettle of someone who carries the strength of character to stand by truth, face the onslaught of tirades considering Jhanak Ani journey…There is no one size fits all scenarios… this can be said for relationships too…He is practical enough to understand that he doesn’t have any expectation that Arshi and Ani must part but expresses if ever J and Ani come together, they will be happy.

Parents will advise based on instinct rather than a rule book. Or let me say new age parents certainly do.. Naturally, any parent will want their child to be clear of emotional entanglements in complex ties but there is always the organic journey of some bonds that can’t be ignored.

He was showing the openness of welcoming a new paradigm in relationships… that is how society evolves… it’s not about encouraging relationships outsider the marriage.. it’s the recognition that some relationships are deadwood and moving on makes sense. at the same time, he did not ask either to do anything against their wishes… all he said was be a lifelong friend to her..
On the one hand you have Shubho Tanu who are part of an upwardly mobile society wanting their son to stick to a relationship that has clearly not helped their son so perspective different from theirs is juxtaposed here to perhaps suggest that life is about moving on… evolving.

What the writer wants to say is something that I will keep looking at… yes they could say something totally opposite tomorrow 😂😂😂 but that’s for another day. BBG has been steadfast is all I can say
