Strangers can often give better advice and objectivity compared to loved ones. And they either wont judge or if they do, their judgement does not matter because they are strangers. Abhira sharing with a stranger is better than Armaan sharing with his so called "bff"Ruhi in the era when he was still in that guilt phase. He created problems because he actually told her everything about what was happening in his life even when it wasnt necessary. It'd have been better if they made this the first meeting of siblings rather than the one where he almost caused an accident.

Abhira knows Armaan is hiding things just like Armaan did when she was pregnant. The difference is Abhira always intended to tell him , she was just buying time to think about how to best break the news. Whereas here he has no plan . He's just doing things day to day with no foresight. He is stuck just like Abhira was- with wanting to tell all but worrying how it will impact her.
