yes first two weeks let it be. He said he will choose avinash coz that side has privileges.. he was playing neutral till then… and in wkv he again took side of avinash saying he was right even though he was wrong … so no one gave any dhoka to him .. they had expectations from him ki he wont support avinash

Until wkv he didn't pick a side, he was being neutral and trying to balance both . Vivian still wasn't taking side when karan kept cornering him then he took a side not until then. Avinash wasn't completely in wrong like he was portrayed, the situation was grey matter not black and white one.

Its not mandatory that he have same opinion as his friend.

Yes he did face betrayal coz all this while mehra never thought him as friend but kept this thing hidden
