I think maybe until now she didn't think Shahnawaz liked her. Her convo with that useless older sister, she immediately dismisses the possibility. I think we may see in the next episode, some acknowledgment that Shahnawaz is engaged. Until now she didn't even think he was interested in her like seriously. Now she knows that he is seriously talking wedding, there might be an acknowledgment.

I am still confused , when did Shanno fall in love with Mehru. I mean that when he sent his brother to jail, he told his mother that it was a plan, and we assumed that he kept meeting Mehru as a plan. Was it really like that in the beginning and changed into love when they were in the hospital?
Even I was wondering the same! Just before sending Zain to jail he stopped Mehru in the middle of the road & it was all in a threatening way!

In my opinion, he is still not at that deep intense wala love. He was always attracted to her, even now I don't think he has realised that intense love, he is very attracted to her and wants her in his life by hook or by crook and also wants to get his brother free. The more time he spent with her, the more attractive she became to him but he is yet to feel that desperate intense love for her which I think will only come after marriage.

I think he started off with the intention of trapping her but got trapped himself. He already had a deep attraction towards her which was unknown to him. Going after her and getting to know her more was just adding oil to the fire. I guess it was seeing her taking care of her mother that made him forget the politics and fell for her.

I think infatuation stage has passed. He likes her already but isn't in that intense stage yet. Right not it looks like getting mehru is just a plus point for his elaborate plan of getting his useless brother out.

As sad as I am about it I feel this is what will happen
He always was attracted towards her and wanted to know more about her and got frustrated when she won't even tell him her name. Then even though it was against him and his family, he did like that she won't even get afraid of death threads directly by him. I don't know if he had the intention of making her fall for him or only to create a soft spot for him and eventually emotionally blackmail her to withdraw from the case. But getting to know her more and more made him fall for her. He might not be entirely in love with her but he definitely likes her enough to dumb Amal but not enough to see that his brother is the wrong one.
So you too think that he planned to make her fall for him first, but seeing his efforts fail, and her keeping roasting him, he started to form a deep liking for her. 
I love to believe that he fell for her , coz she has all the qualities which he admires. She puts her family in the 1st place and takes care of them.. like he does. She doesn't run after him, like other girls. She is stubborn, confidant and caring for other ppl.. he is arrogant but we can see that opposites attract. She isn't coward, and after all those threats still she fought for her dead brother. He is used to see ppl under his feet. So it was a challenge for him, and it made him impressed as well.

He looked smitten by her after than hand touch. Maybe those electric shots went directly to his heart. 
So he started following her. Maybe it wasn't planned, he was just following her to know what those feelings were!
