I have read some of the posts on Amu virat wanting to be intimate. Want to cover 2 topics in this post 1) My view on their intimacy. 2) current debate happening on X about intimacy & love confession.

1) My view on intimacy is they are adults & married. Theres nothing wrong here? Does Virat deserve to be with Amu- sadly not relevant if she gives consent. In their intimacy they will be leading further down their delusion not resolving issues. Which is V A future with Babita whos been a problem& trust. Still say if V A want intimacy without revolving issues- its their choice. Here is my problem- the story wont allow use for contraception. I dont want cheap plot Amu gets drugged & sleeps with Shubh - whos baby is it? Personally I have seen the deep emotional effect of miscarriage. Its not a good plot to go down with these writers. V A cant handle this in a relationship.

2) X posts are saying theres no problem with intimacy before love confession. This has happened on ITV before where couples who were not happy married still got pregnant. My issue is creators have fooled us with love confession giving most of minutes in show to villians who triumph. To prolong a love confession heading to intimacy before is again disgusting from the show. It illustrates creators intent to keep doing the same lying love confession will happen. Which may not work... is there any point in love confession if intimacy has already happened?

Another "thinking out loud" post / 'thought dump' cause a lot is spinning around - lets see where this goes:

  • Bhavani - seems to be fine with the forced marriage. Her problem is danger to Ammu's life. She mentioned about the latter even today and it is only to make her case stronger that she brings up the "forced" thing.
  • Virat - I dont know how they plan to make him a likeable character. He is for many but he looks so fake. What he does is all tactical maneuvers and seems like his only aim now is to sleep with his wife. Everything else.... he is in 'who cares?' mode. His interactions with Babs is terrible and with Vandy is disgusting.
  • Amruta - Saw a meme yesterday: normal human body 60% water ... delulu 100 %... though the meme was for Babs, it fits Ammu. She cant see anything beyond him now. Forget Babs, forget the past, forget everything else, forget her family. Only Virat Sir ki khushi matters.
  • Mela wedding - is now a joke. 'zor zabardasti wala'.... thats it. Its reduced to a joke.
  • Chem students - debates are about how they are 'progressive' because of todays chem scene, "mature" too, whether or not confession is required before consent. Also seen debates around how separation shouldn't happen, how it will be bad etc. Any debates about forced nature of their relationship... glad to see a few voices there. but only a few. I'll go perhaps the opposite of progressive and go traditional / even orthodox perhaps... can you two 'commit' to this relationship no matter what happens in the future before moving ahead? Cause I see what you both have got there is a bubble that can burst anytime... and no matter how progressive you are or how much you are in love with eo, you cant make it unless you honour your commitment. [But yeah... confession and consent is sexy perhaps.]
  • There still are elements in the overall show which can take it to a better place (the reason I always keep this show above RM)... but unfortunately the writers haven't yet shown they can take it there.

[Realised this reply doesn't go along the lines of your post.]

One of my main issues with the show is the lead characters and their character arcs. Can add Babita to it too.

I just looked at what the parallel 349th ep was in kkb - its the one where Pragya leaves Abhi's house and comes to her home... leaving the relationship despite them loving eo because Tanu falsely claims and convinced everyone that she is pregnant with Abhi's kid. By this time I as an audience am sold... AbhiGya have been through a journey - disgusting many times but loveable many times too. Abhi has grown from a spoilt brat to a loveable guy, has been through his redemption arc along with it. There have been loads of fall and holds, eye locks, banters, confrontations, and also the disgusting parallel of the mela eps in the form of mms track. The characters have 'grown' over the past 349 eps and they look like two 'mature' individuals dealing with their life circumstances, doing what is, to the best of their knowledge, the right thing to do. We can agree on their decisions or disagree.

Coming back to Kmtmg... Has Virat grown as a person? Only thing I see is he has sobered up compared to how he was in the initial eps. But I feel he has miles to go before I can consider him 'mature'. I doubt he can even function without Amruta being around him. His actions are many times questionable, even if it be better than before.

Has Amruta grown as a character? To me she has shown negative growth - from someone who wont mind calling a spade a spade to someone who looks at a spade and claims it to be diamond. But yeah... except for her hangover around Virat (which unfortunately is most of the time these days) she is still much more mature and capable than him.

Of course, we have the parallel chem scenes... but resting on a questionable relationship. They can make love, they can have babies, even fight over whether it should be a son or a daughter.... no issues... But is this the way they want it to be? Does that beginning they had a good enough and strong base to hold their relationship and others related to it, including new ones that can come up?

Babita - despite everything she has been the flat line... and a flat line when it comes to stories and heart... is a dead character. Its becomes a wall, an obstacle that the protagonists have to jump over and unfortunately our protagonists have shown no intent to do so yet. May be they will on the last day of the show.

ML being an idiot is fine... but only to begin with. He has to grow. Unfortunately... that looks like a loong journey for our guy... unlike the above mentioned phase in kkb. Pragya grew too... but Ammu... sorry.

This is a great summary of characters currently & agree with most of it. Its too early yes but feeling its not going in good direction is clear- its even spread all over X. I'm also confused & haven't ignored your question why Babita stopped plans against Amu

  • Virat- Yes there is force marriage & no promise to Amu his actions wont happen again after exposure. I dont see how Chem fans & many can like his horrible contradiction between Vandy & Babita
  • Amu- I saw that post and wanted to share with on delulu
  • Mela- its tough to see most fall for the whitewash & make it a joke- Im swearing at the screen
  • Mukta & writers- I would have better opinion or be optimistic of show if they were shown as adaptable
  • Villians you have not mentioned - there was that BTS of AJ cutting cake. Rajiv is still there. What is left to say about show attitude to villians?
