I don’t get it. The drag is so dramatic and painful to watch. It’s just an illness and it too zaviyar forever to tell his sister - actually he didn’t, she did some bad detective work for fifteen minutes to waste our time and figured it out. Then she didn’t tell the mom. Or her friends. Made a bad call to offer her body but still no mention of why. I’m even amazed why Bilal isn’t probing further because that was SUCH a shocking thing for a girl to say and to ask 8 crores. Kya Ajeeb family hai. Na Mirza sahab ne bataya and now Sadaf is the secret keeper.

All this is just the writers doing to make Sadaf into this weak bechari type desperate character. Needlessly. There is no need to alienate her from her friends and to make her want to sell herself for money unless you want to make her a bechari.

Haseeb has so much time to give us 13 seconds of Shahveer drinking milk, 40 seconds of Maya silently looking at Saba H, and 25 seconds of Sadaf plugging her phone, but he couldn't add a 2-minute scene with no dialogues to give the build up to why Sadaf would go to BA to sell herself to him and to establish how desperate frustrated and at wits' end she was. THis sequence could have been as follows:

• We get a shot of Sadaf sitting in front of a computer. She is thinking and looking really worried as we hear voiceover from doctor that 8 crore is needed very soon.
• Sadaf is next seen looking on the screen on her computer which is the bank website and shows that minimum qualifying income for 8 crore loan is 15 lakh a month but the appointment letter open on the desk next to her says 1.5 lakh monthly income (which is Amaar's package we're told)
• Sadaf looks very disappointed, shuts off the computer, and then goes to her father's room and starts to rifle through papers in her father's desk drawer or cupboard. one is a bank statement and we see the amount in it. another paper she looks at we see the balance in her dad's provident fund. she gets frustrated and flings these papers to the side
• Sadaf then goes huffing and puffing to her mother's cupboard and starts rifling through it, and only finds 2 zevar ka sets. She looks frustrated and shoves the zevar boxes back in cupboard.
• As she is doing this, Sadaf gets a text from real estate agent guy and we see the text give the value of the house were she to sell it.
• We then see Sadaf sitting and tallying these #s and then crying or being angry in frustration that this amount still comes to no more than 2.5 crore

This 2 minute sequence with no dialogues could have easily been shown in lieu of all the pauses and camera zooms we were put through It could have been filmed like a race against time to build the desperation and urgency.

I would have liked this and also SOME attempt at least from Sadaf to not outright sell herself. I would have liked that to have been the last resort. Where she asks him to loan it to her or to cut her salary or to even request the money on her father’s name and his years of dedication to the company. And if Bilal had not agreed then maybe she could have insinuated what she did. But definitely not the first thing that blurts out of her mouth.

On one hand she’s saying she doesn’t want charity but people who say these things have so much self respect that it automatically nullifies any notions of sleeping for money. So there’s a completely illogical contradiction in her statements and the decision to offer herself. She has enough dignity to not want a favor from him with nothing in return but at the same time she is okay with sleeping with him. Es se behtar tou in her father’s name hi maang le paise. Using his name and dedication to the company to get money still makes sense and is less problematic than what she decides to do.

I think she was under the assumption that Naamdar sb asked Bilal for the money but Bilal turned him down.

Also, if you ask me, this scene was not to tarnish Sadaf's character or to show the FL in the bad light - all those deliberate inputs of that scene you mentioned; her hesitation, not being able to look up most of the time, her nervousness, constantly covering herself, fear and every other little detail, screamed that this is not where she ever wanted herself to be! Contrary to popular belief, I think it is also not to glorify Bilal - it was not to show how good he is that when he had the chance to take whatever he needed from her, when she was freely offering herself, he decided to be the gentlemen and greater human and rejected the offer! I see it as a sort of Bilal's reality check - a mirror showing him what he has become in his emotionally-drained, materialistic world. It is totally about Bilal's character growth!

They showed that he read her body language instead of her words. In most cases we see ml simply believing whatever the fl is saying without reading their expressions or body language. Anyone with an eyes can see she is dead afraid to even look at him and shivered when she thought he was coming close to him and can tell she isn't asking for money and offering herself because of greed or an extravagant lifestyle. It might be something that important and she might be that desperate.

There is no basis for this assumption? This should be one of the first things she should have asked. If he noticed her dad to be worried about something. Not playing her dad’s loyalty card first and opting for prostitution instead is not it.

She’s literally making assumptions left right and center.
