Exactly my point! What's in Amu's eyes is deep and that's why she is his true love, not Pri even though he thought he was in love with her.

Do I double down or accept I may be tough on virat character? ... will give you both. Double down- if virat was much better. Virat would have left her based on personality we see today but he let her in his heart which he admits. Virat weak easily manipulated character wanted to win over Abhiraj but didn't think further ahead leading to more manipulation from Ex

Accept I may be tough- Maybe the similarities I pointed out today was not even thought by writers- we give them too much credit. Agree most of your points to balance my view make sense. I think incidents I illustrated cant be ignored too.

Back to question why did he fall for Ex... She not bad looking so it could be sexual or he thought Ex dumb arm candy . Maybe he fell harder with emotions when Amu challenged him. It Could be manipulation by Ex from start. Decided to get her target virat by using Abhiraj. Reason Ex left him was... in Ahuja house there was distraction & freedom Ex enjoyed. Ex realised after moving out... Virats attention all on her so he will see Ex not capable of love but gold digger from start. Ex living away from Ahujas exposes all her faults with no one to blame. She left Virat broken to accept Alimony settlement.

She got everything! Why is she back after hurting him and killing him from inside? Virat suffered a lot and so did his family (something again the writers failed to give us beautifully). Pri isn't like V. V is better because he truly is. Again, his character was badly written, but whatever he did to Ammu was actually the punishment he should've given Pri. Ammu turns out to be his punching ball yet his medicine. Simply, Ammu is strong enough to heal him. That's how I see things with my mind (when I use it beyond my observation). I don't know if everyone will get my thoughts, but aisa kuch hai is show mein farak itna hai writers sucked!

At this point, Virat should've let Ammu in and realized that he deserves a second chance to love again—or should I say fall in love deeply for the first time in his entire life—something he never had from Pri, someone who is there for him and his family. Someone who revived him from his darkness.

We are complaining about their relationship, but something is beautiful about it that the writers failed to portray.

Bold: Agree with this 100%. They've relied on eyelocks and chem scenes to imply there is something beautiful about it... or say despite everything 'kuch to hai'. They could've done better.

Since the first scene and which continues even now (except for the phase where Ammu seems to be in love with him), Ammu is someone who fights against all odds to do what is required to be done - be it running behind him to the yacht to do her job or her persistence around Rajeev despite the things she is made to listen to.

Virat isn't that way... he will give in easily. That can make him admire or hate this quality of hers and he has done both. The VSA doesn't have it but a mere 'Bank employee' has? No way. He tried to break her too... but she didn't budge.

'Its money that makes her do that' was his thought perhaps... but no... this is who she is.. she is freaking persistent... [even to my dislike since she is now hanging around Virat, despite the mela eps].

[Think they have shown Virat isn't persistent about something / quits easily unless 'baat uske ego pe aa jaati hai'. (Dildaar's dialogue in making him go to Goa). I'm quite surprised that he is at home when they are kidnapped... baat ego pe nahi aayi?]

2nd and 3rd para: yeah may be true.. but... 'Ammu deserves better' was one of the strong impressions I had in the initial eps... and stays true even now. 'Sir... ye meri pehli shaadi hai... aur usi ka aap mazak bana rahe hai'... should hit him [but then can be argued why she went for the fake wedding if that is the case... and can equally be said, she paid the price for it.]

Even if you meant it as a joke, there seems to be a grain of truth in this - like @sugz mentioned (later I think and has done it before too) his immediate influences have been bad. Remove him from it he is a better person. [but I still have to ignore what he did in the mela.]

Yeah... but is the norm in shows - used to happen a lot in kkb too. run away, get caught again or there is a long chase. Depends on how they show it.

Blue: I get it... and yes... they failed to portray it well enough.

Red: Goes with the theme they've used often with her name - around poison and nectar.

Bold: Yup. Agree with this.

Pri v/s V... I'm not sure - wont claim one is better or worse. If nothing else his mela shenanigans stick out like a sore thumb for me to accept it.

We dont have much info about their past. One thing he mentioned was ex used to complain he cares only about money so he used to break things to prove he doesn't... and cares about her. But why was that happening? was it because she was asking him money and he wasn't giving it? No idea why she divorced... was it because of her boyfriend?

Virat and ex can be argued were similar. Virat now is much more subdued than how he was shown in ep 1 - and in this sense for the better. He is much more 'human' than what he looked back then. Can say Ammu made him swallow the 'humble pie'.

With no one like Ammu or similar experiences for ex, also going through bankruptcy, another break up, and what not... can say she changed for the worse. There is also this bit where they have to show her doing bad things because she is now the villain - thus exaggerating the negatives. But can see they could've gone well together after all... for some time... like @sugz mentioned - when they were around friends, drinking, partying... etc.

Ye bhi Ishaan ne bola tha... Virat will search for Ammu and Nimmi with his nieces and nephews (even Harsh's kids).

Also feel its true of most of the things they've done in the show. Pretty sure if we talk about it with them, most of the things they've gone for, had at the core good intent and idea. But they've failed to execute / portray it well or even sensibly. Fake wedding was a good idea for me - I didn't mind it at all... but they failed to give a good enough reason to go for it. Same goes for many of the things. Mela wedding... I cant make any excuse that it was a good idea ... but could've dealt with it later in a much better way by having Ammu exposing Babs post the wedding. But instead we have this.
