Knowing Alice , I think it really mattered to her because of kanwar and his mother. To be mom in law is south Indian and they really matter to her because she cab see a future with them , a family that she never had. So maybe she doesn't want to spoil it.also south Indian vote bank matters so that's another reason I never expected her to abuse like that thought 😄

Also if anyone has seen Alice's interviews Alice easily can't let go of some issue you have to talk it out with her.
