Yar nhi uska pura way of saying hy kuch aur sense mai tha. He is doing it for girls only & honestly i thought that didn’t looked good. I agree on the Shrutika point. I felt he didn’t need to say any of that to her but there are a couple of things:

- He cares about Shrutika so he felt the need to explain to her why he reacted the way he did. No we can debate all day long whether what he said was right or not, but he said it only because he considers her a friend.

- He mentioned having a young daughter and not wanting to set a wrong example for her. Can we really blame him for that? He doesn’t want to be seen cozying up with other women, especially when his daughter would be watching. Many actors leave their established careers behind for the very reason. Again, I don’t see anything wrong in thinking that way. Again, he could have left it at that, and not said anything more to Shrutika but to my first point, he wanted to make sure he is not framing her as clingy because he cares for her. If he had left it at “dont touch me, I don’t feel comfortable” that would have painted a very wrong picture of Shrutika.

- He has been in the industry for over a decade, almost 2 decades now. He knows how quick viewers are to start shipping. Again, he didn’t want to send the wrong message outside (his words).

As for Mallika, he wouldn’t have said anything until Karan mentioned it. Didn’t find that wrong at all. There are personal boundaries and everyone should respect those.
