I know , i just watched that scene and liked it so much that i wanted to post it over here but with some context to this show
I haven't watch those episodes so don't have that much knowledge of kartik's career as i started watching it from episode 13.
But itna pata hai ki kartik himself broke up with her that too in middle of the road ...phir khud hi delhi aa gaya sulah karne. Matlab jab ji me aaye break up kar lo...jab ji me aaye patch up kar lo.
No doubt yuvika is not so good partner...par kartik bhi kuch kam nai tha.
I have many things to say from his side but leave... there is no point ...him leaving her after her dad's funeral was wrong but he had many other good qualities of viewed from a neutral pov....that too he didn't broke up at that time he just stopped talking to her I remember he used to help Arjun for their cafe work ...even after every argument he was the one to always apologize and adjust even after he was ignored so much ...he had come to Delhi living in some hotel just to support her in the mission and from day 1 asked her to include him but yuvika ne usse latka ke rakha tha...for roughly two months he stayed there having no idea of where her mission is going he didn't even knew kab khatam hoga ya kab tak rehna hai ....on Neil's side it was wrong of him to chase a commited girl and his expressions were just some clear indications even yuvika was told this by Isha but she kept on being so close to him and having some abnormal moments with him for ex the post phoenix incident in yuvika's room
as such there were many scenes as if giving him some kind of hopes...I have some more things to say but koi faida nahi hai..one thing is sure that as compared to yuvika as well as her new bf who tried to drug Isha and rec her video 
kartik was way far better life partner and his red flag used to come as a response to that of yuvika's .
Yuvika used to give him the reason of his safety for not involving him in the mission even after asked many a times...agar itni sure thi toh usse wapas bhej deti latka kar kyu rakha on the other hand while breaking up she said tumne kabhi meri madat karne ki koshish nahi ki as if apna kaam dhandha aur rishikesh chod kar Delhi sirf dj ki car mein baithne aya tha....kartik jaisa bhi ho he for sure deserved a better life partner than yuvika and if yuvika would have shown a lil bit of response then he would have been more better towards her..

Anyways this guy's is a criminal IMO. Nothing proven yet but almost everybody said he was responsible for his GF Tunisha (She acted in a few shows, Chakravartin Ashok Samrat , Internet wala Love and I think fitoor movie too) Suicide. I think he was even jailed for sometimes for this but as it is these things can't be proven unless there is a written or video evidence.
Ive heard so...his sister is Falaq Naaz....they also disowned their other sister I think
