I understand. We know that daily soaps like this tend to have very large arcs for maximising drama. There they often choose to let go of smaller nuances that we assumed an audience would want, but would not serve any purpose in the long run.
The best example was the BTS I remember seeing when the deal shaadi was revealed to the family. There was a scene where Armaan explained to his family of how much Abhira meant to him and what she had done for the family. That scene was written & enacted, but was edited out as it hampered the creatives choice to make Armaan oblivious of Abhira's contribution to his family when asking for the divorce.
So yes, while we notice & call out a lot of these small nuances, like Rohitrocks mentioned, it very well can be a creative choice to have him make that connect & realisation with a different trigger than just watching that video today
