May be you are right . When SK asked she will make jhanak suffer due to police case he was not comfortable. But not accepting his child how he is able to protect her. Or even he thinks that like how her mother did suicide jhanak might also do that or SK might plan her murder. He is not confronting jhanak separately either nor he is proving his innocence . But I don’t want to think that he is protecting jhanak and what could be the reasons bcoz I will not get any answer from makers. So better we should take it on face value. But something is off he still love jhanak despite all accusations , is he pretending that he does not know anything only then he would feel for jhanak . One thing for sure is Ani is angry at Janak and not trusting her but he is not hating her still. Since he has seen Janak’s pure innocent soul, he can’t completely agree what everyone says but in order to please Shristi and Arshi, he is agreeing with them. As per my understanding, he is confused why Janak is putting a big Ilzam, but I don’t think so he is putting up an act to protect Janak and all. This time the acquisition is big and it t is directly on him and his reputation. Though he does not like involving police and all, but he will be muted for sure. My only question is why he is not trying to find the truth from Janak. He can talk to Janak separately like rest of the time by cheating Arshi 🤣 but I think right now he is too scared to take any step which will put his dignity even more at stake.

First day after rescued j from Tejas..they both were in same room..

Next when he has fever j was with him in his room shared same bed

& he was the one who stopped her from going away .. & hugging her forcefully .. looks like he is suffering from amnesia… y they r not showing him thinking & recollecting the incident

but he is angry on her ..marriage talks made him super scared .. that’s makes it clear .. he never intends to marry Arshi for life now .. if he really love her he could have married that time only.. still there is love for Jhanak in his heart .. but right now that jealousy in Mumbai has blinded him
