If he really worked then Gen 3 would still be going on. As far I know the production loved him and had problems with the other actor. So, if he was accepted by majority of the TRP audience then they could have shown so much about the FL and his story but they had to end it.

Maybe what you saying is true .But as much as I know TRP dropped drastically from 2 to 1.6 after one or two weeks of his death.if TRP audience dint connect with him,why there is such a difference . And lead was again going to unite and it never increased till new gen .But I won't argue .I don't want to discuss this topic .otherwise other people will also come.maine kisi ko reply bhi nahi dungi.i am tired of discussing this topic in last gen time itself

I think the very fact that a certain actor is working or not is dependant on so many other factors than just the show's TRP! And the TRP isn't made by just good chemistry between leads or green flag couples! Rishta atleast, imo has had a trajectory that's been up and down dependant on its tracks, celebrations, side characters and their stories etc. and the biggest of them all is how well the other shows on the channel have been performing too! No one character, however loved and accepted he may be can carry the show single-handedly ! It surely needs to be backed with good writing and consistent story-telling.

That has been Rishta's biggest flaw! They aren't consistent. So however well RoPu and Sam do, unless they get supported by good writing and sensible track points, the show is surely going to be a dull watch! But in saying that, Rishta hasn't ever been as continually exciting or fast paced as other shows. They believe in stretching plots, celebrations, fights everything! That's how they have been sustaining for longer than all the other exciting shows around and still remain very much in the TRP race. So they do know what to serve and how much to serve. It's just that for some reason they haven't been able to get it right in the writing department this time so they are a bit all over the shop wrt sub plots and closing loops with open plots! Hopefully it improves. But if it doesn't, I'm not going to stick around to vent! Lol!

The current plot of shaadi ki rasmein and Kaveri genuinely seeing at least a little bit of Abhiras goodness is a good one. I hope they give us a shaadi to remember.

They have not really showed proper reconciliation of Ar Ro either. He's softened towards Ar now but he hasn't gone to bromance mode like earlier.

If they want "drama" they can show Sanjay ke kartoots which can dubao the firm and Abhimaan preventing it. There's also identity reveal pending which is a major track.

They can always create some parallel plot regarding one of the siblings too.

Hopefully they'll find one of these things to show.

Oh they can do it in fifteen days …clearly this has been in the pipeline for sometime .:
