In the latest meeting between the IPL owners and the BCCI, Delhi Capitals owner Parth Jindal strongly opposed the rule in play as he thought it limited the role of the Indian all-rounders especially in the tournament. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma also shared his view on this new innovation during the tournament itself. He too was against it as he thought it was not allowing the Indian all-rounders to play to the best of their potential.
