Yes.....In this case, It isn't bigamy that automatically pulled in audience for "shock value"....it's how you show a complex situation and what can lead to such a case where a man who was in a long term convenient relationship with one woman ended up marrying another.

Ani ,from the beginning, is shown as an honorable man who wanted to do right by his promises and commitments but kept getting trapped in circumstances beyond his control...

The entire execution of keeping that secret about Anirudh-Jhanak's forced marriage and then the evolution of RuNak's relationship and falling in love with each other against remarkable odds was done very compellingly. They kept the focus on respecting consent...but now very smartly they are even exploring and dissecting the concept of consent as well... What is consent....Is Ani doing whatever is doing is his consent...?? Yes...he says "yes"...but still

Yes..... It was a morally conflicting story...These conflicts weren't just surface level...they still are not...

It Is all people making choices at various crossroads that drives the story.

I am curious to see how this Mumbai track unfolds....

He just can’t say that he doesn’t love Jhanak… that words r sure hard to remove from his mouth.. he knows that it’s true so he never says that.. but he keeps saying I love you Arshi… not a single time he said he doesn’t love Jhanak.. but only says main sirf tumse pyaar karta hoon..

Its been long time that Arshi is not believing him , even the Kashmir marriage time when he cancelled his aashirvad and went to Jhanak she sort of started to doubt him. But because Jhanak was around she didnt dare to do the drama. Now the aag as given her the licence to be cry baby and get things done and blabber anything as Anirudh wouldn't reply back to keep her mental health intact.Also Jhanak's missing has made him lose all the interest fo his existence .

This crying and victimised Arshi is so unbearable for me than the previous version ( Both I dont like ). The one who was planning to harm Jhanak just before she was going to mandap along with her mom , she knew her mom would something to harm Jhanak during the wedding , all of a sudden is so cold to her mom . She is blaming it all on her mother.

All characters are flipping so its fine..Writers are forgetting their characters traits , but viewers who remember them are being confused as to what they are showing daily .

Don’t know how much is true in all this but looks like another mus regarding Adi & J will form that …. Cause of Adi J will win as he is favouring her … cause today Sr guru ji also saying to S only about Adi but didn’t mention anything about Rudra being the supporter

the issue is that Ani’s emotions have not received any attention from the writers. If their intention was to keep the emotions bottled in… I don’t think that came thru well enough…Ani’s concern for Jhanak’s whereabouts received scant attention. Agreed, she moved out of her own will but his attention to getting information about her received not much mention; if I remember correctly apart from one empty threat to his father and a couple of phone calls… I don’t think any scenes depicting some movement on that. Him getting reconciled to not having Jhanak in his life wasn’t a problem but the transition wasn’t handled properly… it was too sketchy…scattered!! This serial doesn’t do too much of monologues which I actually like becos for me monologues are the least preferred narrative style. The aim of the writer was to say Ani has moved on just as Jhanak and they left it at that. Issue is Jhanak’s moving on didn’t need much explanation becos she moved out in a wave of anger and when you are left to fend for yourself in a city and you are at your wits end…. romance will be far far from your mind… Ani’s situation wasn’t the same… his moving on was too abrupt… his acceptance of the situation needed more narrative reinforcement which the writers weren’t good at. The vision was good but execution was poor. The result was a depiction of an insincere Ani which the character is actually far from

What I believe is ITV is always female oriented as it brings them the desired business. I dont remeber watching an adorable character like Anirudh on screen in the past years. Mostly all are supporting characters for the female lead. Its their family and female lead that carries the story forward.

Here Anirudh came as a strong person with lot of emotional attachment and much more human with his flaws and manipulation. They established him so well. His attachment With Jhanak also. But when they wanted the story to move ahead they let it loose. Their entire concentration was on the female journey as its the story.

From there they messed with Anirudh, they couldn't connect anything to prove his change all of a sudden. Monologues made it worse.They only concentrated on the female story part even making the screen space zero for male lead !!!

And as such the female journey fetched them the tro too as male lead looked so bad . Even now the track is so messy, how they will establish the story back to normal is still confusing.
