Him being "Baby in terms of age" is the biggest advantage & disadvantage he has actually...

Disadvantage as we can see he lack emotional intelligence & messed up things in his stupidity

& Advantage as in we all melt with those tears in his puppy eyes or just with 1 sorry πŸ₯ΊπŸ₯Ί

That's what makes him "Ani" ❀️

not quite... See in anything that has happened to J so far, she surely supported to vocally but she was never part of a plan to hurt her directly. She knew things but she did not do things... Well, she is not as despicable as her mother, they have always shown that. There were instances where some white colors came out of her and we all complained about why are they trying to whitewash her. In Anirudh's eyes, she is wrong, but she is not someone like Shristi who is beyond redemption.

Good people always try to see good in others. For example, when Ani brought J home, she was against it but he used to also say, I know no one supports but Arshi will. Because he thinks of her as a good person and she probably was as well much more white than now. But her insecurities brought out the worst in her. But once she was a good person in ani's dictionary and you cannot forget an image of a person just like that... because they spent time together and that means something. He probably has seen her when she was her best

She can come across as unreasonable, harsh, and cruel with words, and can hit Jhanak but she is not despicable. Her actions always were backed by one thing -- you are hurting me emotionally when all I gave you was love and she was right in that because she loved Anirudh more than he loved her. See, her being a person with a dark gray color does not rule out the fact that she felt hurt, her love turned into ashes and now all that is left is hate. If she is darker gray, Ani is light gray... and so is Jhanak rani because of her mahanata for me... she is light light gray...

And like you said this fire thing is an added advantage. His family was already making him feel bad about not focusing on Arshi, so it's guilt*10.

You know what I am curious about is....

How will Arshi's " I hate you" will affect Ani...bcz he hasn't chosen his parents....he can't do much about how they are with him... but he had chosen Arshi for whatever reason... now will it be easy for him to accept that she hates him....she doesn't even want him to touch her...

It won't be easy for him to accept this side of her definitely...

yes i said this in one of my posts... "i hate you" this has taken a toll on him before.. and it will now.. he will go overboard with his care for her... blaming himself , she will torture him but he will torture himself as well

You know your this post reminded me of one of my recent favourite movie " Qala"...I had initially thought that Arshi 's character would be a character inspired from that..

Qala’s case, too, . Growing up in a strictly hierarchical environment where her mother is also her teacher and her master, her caretaker and guardian, and seemingly the main influence in her life, Qala has internalised her mother’s dreams for her and dedicates her whole life and career trying to win her approval, even to the detriment of her own sanity and wellbeing. Throughout the movie, one can see Qala following her mom’s commands without questioning it.....

I also saw the glimpse of this in her ...Hungry for validation from a mother whose prejudices are extremely extrinsic finding herself nailed into the loop of being inadequate and deficient in her mother’s eyes....The essence of dance has lost its meaning for her as her priority shifts to gratify her mother..

But then gradually I lost that connection... I started disliking her more and more for how she was presented...she appeared classist and elitist to me...and became just a tool in her mother's hand

On the contrary I found this "death mother archetype" more prevalent with Ani...

I have read about this concept & it says Death Mother wields a cold, fierce, violent, and corrosive power. When Death Mother's gaze is directed at us, it penetrates both psyche and body, turning us into stone. It kills hope. It cuts us dead. We collapse..

I found that with Tanuja...This energy is most destructive when it comes from somebody that we love and trust. Like he is with somebody who is supposed to love him and all of a sudden– bang! It’s what happened in the original trauma; we trusted our beloved mother and suddenly we were hit with the realization that we were not acceptable. We realized that our mother wished that we, or some part of us, was dead.... Isn't it the same with Tanuja???...

She knows her son's happiness lies with whom..She probably understands what their actions are doing to him..yet she is there doing her things pushing him towards a metaphorical death...

But yes...one thing is sure that she has grown up seeing her parents' failed relationship soo may be she is also carrying that intergenerational trauma of making her romantic relationship work at any cost....so she tried to cling to Ani ....but nothing justifies the way she has chosen to deal with it by attacking the weaker one... wishing evil for her...

And I also think that Arshi also exhibit same symptoms of narcicism by victimising herself to a large extent.... always resorting to emotional manipulation, guilt-tripping...

Soo mother-daughter duo are narcissistic characters ...but Arshi is more dangerous...

Yes, Qala was a good movie. Tripti's character is very reminiscent of Arshi. She is what Arshi will become in the future considering the current track.

Bold- I always found Tanuja to be a tad bit more emotional than Shrishti. I saw albeit being rare Tanuja really does care for Ani. It's more a case of neglect and a high set of expectations considering the joint family dynamics within Boses. Tanuja came across as a noveau rich socialite mother who neglects her children a lot. And typically Indian in the sense of not understanding/developing a bond with her children which led to a disconnect in her motherly tendencies. She is a mom who is not a mom in the things that matter. A product of society and culture in a way. In a way, I always found it oxymoronic that Indian mothers who boast about motherhood a lot tend to be the most neglectful and dissonant ones.

Yes, Shrishti falls under the same category, but is much more toxic because her narcissism is truly visible and penetrant in her life, not only hers but her family too. A neglected Vinayak and Puppet Arshi are clear byproducts of it.

To put in short, Tanuja's expectation of Ani is that he be successful in whatever way chooses something every Indian mom would have, but Shrishti's expectation of Arshi is that she be successful exactly like her. Because, to Shrishti, Arshi is merely an extension of herself, the only reason she might even have to show "love" to her daughter.

Atleast from what I see.

Imagine him opening up to Jhanak emotionally and being so completely vulnerable like he was that night in Kashmir?? That too when J is not so emotionally burdened /guilty regarding A???

Jhanak will become that undisputable presence for him.

Jo na hoke bhi hota hai

One who remains even in absence,

Jo jaake bhi rehta hai

One who stays despite leaving,

Jo bhulke bhi yaad hai

One who is in memory after oblivion,

Jo hawa hai, aur aag bhi hai

One who is both fire and air

Wo hai zindagi.

She is life itself.

So beautifully written.....smiley27

Anirudh is the kind of character that held so much flawed beauty and so much perfect imperfection, so much pure intent and mad mistakes that one could not help but fall for him...

Anirudh Bose, I'll save yousmiley37

That is my first thought every time I watch an emotional Aniruddh scene. Every single time. My next thought is:

Main chodungi nahismiley37
