Fever night , that is when he confessed he loves her. He didnt want to have physical with her. He loves her then and now too.If he was so desperate he couls have done it long before when Jhanak was with him dor long time. He even used to go to her room .

Now it is shown clearly that he considers her as his wife and family is taking it another level. He never showed any desperation to have SR with her. He is just trying to move on . Yes , he didnt reject the idea by the family as the beloved dr said emotional trauma to him alone. And once in a while he is also giving it to her whenever she speaks about Jhanak , so as they considered the marriage has been done , he is just trying his part to be with her.

That is my understanding .

Portraying his character as desperate for physical relationship with every women is beyond my understanding .

All the 3 leads r selfish characters no one wants to be true to themselves.. each thinking of their own selfish needs .. Ani clearly knows he loves Jhanak & won’t be able to love Arshi.. & he can’t even accept or deny that … when he thinks about Jhanak u can see the worry in his eyes for her .. once she comes front of him he won’t be able to control his hidden feelings & that’s where Arshi will want to catch him red handed
