His narebazi in the police station and extracting a promise from them, also means making sure police will do whats right... This means inherently he trusts J, and that is why he has the confidence to say this to the police, do your investigation the most truthful way. Because he has faith Jhanak will come out of this, if they do what's right. so in a way he was helping Jhanak by forcing police to do their work, telling them in a loud voice that he wanted justice and whoever the culprit needed to be punished, but this also implies if no one is culprit then they should not be punished as well ... Also want to make sure his father shubho does not find any roundabout way to incriminate J... Police are the only ones he can use as a shield against Shubho if he decides to file a case in court then it will be more messed up...

Again a very logical and smart way to use what's at his disposal...

We shall see how much we were right ...

Where I think I differ is the acting part, I think he had an agenda in mind and he was behaving according to that... because his gaze did not soften towards J, he was being unnecessarily harsh towards her... that I find weird .. but why? this was way too much assurance lol, you can still look at her normally, don't have to ghoorofy her, no one was looking at him that time in police station

in front of his family yes, he most possibly acting ... no wonder this is going to cause a rift!

that is the only confusion I have...

I also understand that he did all this for Jhanak when he was in relationship and according to him in love with Arshi...so he is doing the same for Arshi... when he is in love with Jhanak....

The point here is he was about to marry Arshi...a choice that he had made regardless of the circumstances....and he deeply cares about her as well...

But this time he himself is torn... even if there is no complete trust according to you...there is no complete mistrust either..

He is still trying to be what is expected out of him, something that seems right but does not feel right....yet he is not being able to do that...He is not being able to doubt her....

I think he definitely trusts her....

He did not cancel his wedding with Arshi at that moment...so he is suffering bcz of that now... whatever be the case...

@Bold.. I'm not completely agree here... I can say, we know from story perspective that this marriage won't happen & even from Ani's character perspective we know, of he is saying this giving so much stress, then that thing won't happen but what he meant there by aadhi shadi poori karegi and all is for him and Arshi only... He has totally given up the idea of being with Jhanak & he clearly going ahead with completing that incompleted marriage, that won't happen, is destiny but he is clearly going ahead with that, what he meant there is not someone else but him and Arshi only..

Anirudh- I didn’t feel he was making an extra effort to pretend anything more on top of what he is already been doing. When I watched his police station scene, i kept yesterday’s scene as a continuation where both Appu and Ani were tormented about Jhanak’s arrest. I think why people felt 50/50 with Ani could be because the final verdict was already done and it was probably making him anxious and nervous whether or not J was guilty. However, I would doubt if he put any other effort apart from showing a pretense act in front of his family so they don’t make the case anymore ugly. He kept reminding them that police will take action and the culprit will bear its consequence of attempt to murder so that Shubo would not manipulate the laws and make it difficult for J. Mujhe bus yahan tak Ani ki effort nazar aye hai. That’s all he has done with limited time.

The whole credit to bail Jhanak out exclusively goes to Minu! ✨

I also want to enlighten Ani’s dialogues. He said: “Arshi ajaye gi aur adhooori shaadi pura karegi”

“Han sab normal hone main time lage ga, Lekin chahe Jo bhi hojaye main uska saath donga”

Note: He didn’t say “hum shaadi complete Karen ge uske ane ke baad”

Now that “adhoori” shaadi could be with anyone or in fact do not happen at all. He didn’t commit to it again. He just said he will support her towards her recovery. I don’t know how much we observed his dialogues but it indicated nothing towards AniShi.

Obviously it’s explicit the makers are deliberately trying to insert these dialogues for RuNak’s misunderstanding so that the couple fails to stay together. Perhaps in Mumbai they can rebuilt RuNak and leave the old remnants of their bitter-less sweet memories behind and establish a new bond and maybe unbreakable this time!

Tagged many, many others I couldn’t find. But please feel free to let me know whether we have some what mutual feelings or anything different from my POV
