Really???
And movies?? Do you like movies???
Some of your all time favourite books and singers...
Tell me more..
Movies not a serious buff tbh
I don’t have the patience to sit through sift through
I will watch a movie only if get great reviews and then still I get very critical 😀😀
that said the medium is dreamy and great movies are always a big draw
Bold - If I tell about my favourite books and authors I would be giving away my age 😀😀😀😀
Jokes apart, there’s no book that’s an absolute favourite but there are many that I love dearly.
Have grown up on English classics and poetry so the influences are from there
In the last few years, I have moved to non fiction almost wholly
My favourite authors include
George Orwell, Thomas Hardy, Dickens, Austen, Hardy, the list is endless really 😀
Among the more recent ones,
Margaret Atwood, Ruskin Bond, Vikram Seth, Jhumpa Lahiri, Rohinton Mistry, Hosseini, Rushdie again the list is ever growing
Books that made an everlasting impression
Othello,
The Stranger
The Mayor of Casterbridge
1984
Little women
Great Expectations
To kill a Mockingbird
One Hundred Years of Solitude
War and Peace
Crime & Punishment
The room on the roof
The Vendor of Sweets
And many more
I rambled as many as I could remember 😀It’s. a long list
singers well…
Kishore Kumar & Lata largely for Hindi music ( current favourites Arijit and Shreya) but I also love Rafi, Asha, Geeta Dutt
Yesudas, Chitra, SPB
with music… I tune in more for styles of composition and beauty of lyricism If I can’t relate to the lyrics I can’t enjoy the melody 😀😀 so lyrics trumps composition and singing
but when I don’t understand the language I will gravitate to the melody first 😀
