Yeah, particularly when the person is injured and not dead. Also, what is the insaf she wants here? More money, driver's licence cancelled, fine or jail time?
I don't think Ruhi will be imprisoned because the person is not dead - the most she will get is a fine and pay compensation to the other party. In that case, out-of-court settlements are better for the other party, unless Abhira is doing the case on pro bono.
Ultimately Abhira should listen to whatever her client wants, financial compensation out of court or something else. I do not think jail is a viable option for a minor accident, but its itv so who knows
Like I said, out of court settlements are the most practical option, cause no poor family has the time or money to keep paying a lawyer and sit through multiple court dates. I am personally not a fan of that irl cause repeat offenders are not exactly uncommon, cause they know that they would get away with stuff just by offering money.
