to be the devil's advocate here...
We don't know of Arshi's nature before J entered her life or her equation with Ani for that matter. She might have been a decent person for all we know, at least initial episodes and some scenes in-between till now hinted so. All we can assume right now is that there will be some kind of care, affection, and attachment from Ani to Arshi and vice versa considering the amount of time they were in a relationship, ie., 6 years.
Loved the devil’s advocate here…👌Adding a few from my end too 😊 if it’s ok…
In our desire to want the perfect love story for our Runak, we often selectively apply the moral code
X may erupt into the righteous indignation about Ani
But
wasnt the bond that formed between Ani and Jhanak that we all cheered in Runak land not a betrayal of Arshi of some kind? Yet we took vicarious pleasure in it as a budding love story; there were actions that bordered on an emotional infidelity towards Arshi? Wasn’t Arshi owed honesty at that stage? Yes, some justified it as a just action for her shenanigans but for Arshi, her questions were met with dishonesty at most times
If Ani and Jhanak’s temple marriage is what gave it legitimacy, but wasn’t some level of cheating going on for so long? We attach a lot of value to the ILU of Ani to Jhanak in Kashmir but the actions leading up to the moment were part of that charade that we see now unfolding.
This ILU to Arshi if not meant by Ani is only one more nail in the coffin of that relationship and Ani’s lies will come to bite him big as the path of true never run smooth
yeh ishq nahin aasan
Yeh aag ka dariya hain
😊
I am not championing Atshi’s cause; I simply look upon all characters other than the lovers I root for as simply catalysts some significant some not so. They will have to yield to the love story at some point.
