Here's my short update Ashu. Ani was there only first 2 min of the epi. There's a new entry opposite to Apu di. I just watched their scenes - I like the guy. Rest of the epi was full of Arshi

i thought i'd go and rewatch some of the older episodes. With the current situation, I cannot even enjoy those, Runak seem fake and shallow now.

Someone in an earlier post ( sorry am not entirely familiar with this posting process and viewing older pages) had mentioned some sensible options for Ani to do

Like break off with Arshi gracefully

Confess his love to Jhanak

Convince Jhanak etc…

To me this are all absolutely sane options that Ani should be considering but there is just one catch here and serious one at that.

while they have not shown Ani reflecting on this but the moment he breaks the marriage he loses Jhanak for good becos the biggest challenge in this love story is what does Jhanak consider herself worth? She doesn’t consider herself worthy of requited love and that too a guy like Ani who is her sister’s fiancé

She will not be able to live with the ignominy of a broken relationship so to make this love story work, Ani needs to surmount that mountain. He first needs to understand that Jhanak is carrying the guilt of coming between the two and unless he addresses that in a sensible way, there is no way forward

The challenge in this love story is how does Ani convince Jhanak here that their relationship is not borne out of malice, ill will and is or/and independent of Arshi. Further, how can Jhanak be convinced if he continues playacting with Arshi? I thought Arshi was a catalyst in this relationship but I guess the creatives have something else in mind. 🤔

What creatives haven’t conveyed well is that Ani is not playacting anymore; he is submitting to his fate as he sees no way out of this situation; he hasn’t yet cottoned to the way out this predicament. So in way if I may say so he is not wilfully being mean to Arshi; He is punishing himself as an accepted destiny while taking the high ground that Jhanak will rue more. Arshi is an afterthought in his mind and that ofc is not looking good but that is the character Ani for you! love’s foibles!! 😀
