I agree with what you are saying as his these traits only make us feel connected to him...
But then how can we expect Jhanak to give in his demands, Why? How it is convenient? What about her?.
I know all he want Jhanak by his side to keep intact his mental peace as she is the only Sukoon to his emotional turmoil...
But then isn't she fighting that battle too, it's often we get more attracted to the one who is emoting that but what about the other one who is suffering equally but is not showing that or I can say is not allowed to show that...
Yes, we get irritated for her irrational behaviour but what makes her do so?
Is it easy for a girl who is raised without father figure, who has just seen her mother getting humiliated for all her life because she doesn't have a father, who has namesake relatives like her "Mama & family" but all they gave them is just uncountable insults...
We know, What Ani wants for her is nowhere related to physical needs or somewhere she knows what he wants too, but is it easy for her to accept that emotional intimacy without giving any name to that relation? Isn't her fears valid?
That's the reason I always wanted him to understand her this perspective & take initiative to break the marriage with Arshi

Right now actually he wants to avoid making a choice in my opinion. That is why he brought jhanak back with him. He doesn’t want to be in a position where he has to pick a side. He is scared about that day when he has to do that and honestly anyone will be scared. He has done lot of brave things when it comes to jhanak. But when it comes to him he doesn’t fight as much as he gives importance to others happiness lot more. He was always shown someone trying to balance things in family. With two different kind of people living in family and him always being in the middle and loved by everyone , he was always someone who had to find a middle way ! Find short term solutions to keep peace, and that nature is truly showing its colors right now. Where he is trying to keep himself happy with jhanak somehow being in his life and marrying arshi to keep his family happy. He always had answers to solve most difficult situations in his family , he managed to come out of lot of chaos. He kept jhanak for as long as he could is testament if that. But now he is finding it hard to balance … because it’s jhanak we are talking about and she is more stubborn than anyone he has met. She doesn’t mend in his ways , doesn’t follow the path , has mind if her own, she likes to do the right thing that can cost her a lot… she couldn’t be more different! First time his plans aren’t working and that is throwing him all off … it’s the heart vs mind .. for both of them !
