If Armaan can gather the guts to leave a woman he once claimed to love at the mantap, when he had a clear chance to revive that love, it speaks volumes of the depth of his feelings for that woman ..all of us have been through phases of ‘being in love’ before realising we were just being silly or overestimating our feelings etc ..is it so impossible for Armaan to have been swept away by the moment and believe that he loved Ruhi ..his first reality check came when Rohit entered the picture ..the very fact that he could let Ruhi go for Rohit is again indicative of how deeply he loved her..because in a similar situation, he has been able to let family go more or less for Abhira …I mean we can quote from past episodes and insist he loved Ruhi because of x,y,z reasons…but we have also seen that whether it was the dance or Shivshakti or anything else, at no point did Armaan initiate anything ..Ruhi led him to it pretty much like a sacrificial lamb by using every manipulative argument at her disposal ..with Ruhi, his biggest guilt was that he had pushed her into going ahead with her marriage to Rohit and now she was left all alone ..also he did not stand up for any feelings he had for her when he had a chance to ..effectively what bound him to Ruhi thereafter was guilt and not any other pure emotion ..so if Armaan says he has not felt love before Abhira, it simply means he has not …it would be impossible for a man to get to the age of thirty or more without any attractions or flirtations..Ruhi fit into that category and it became more serious because she appeared a perfect match for his family and their needs ..why is it so impossible for people to recognize that people have a right to move on, revisit their past feelings and realise that maybe they were not quite what they seemed at that time ..this is what character evolution is all about ..we’d be stagnant if this did not happen ..!
Exactly my point
it's not unnatural to feel attracted to somebody & think that they mean the world to you but after sometime they can feel differently..... It didn't happen to ruhi but happend to arman . Arman spent more time with abhira , got to know her better , adjusted to her whims , they observed each other more closely than arman & ruhi ever did !
It was fine if he had latent feelings for ruhi while being married to abhira ..afterall ruhi was his ex (love) as he claimed to be..so why was it not permanent ? Why did the attraction fade away ? Why did he not see ruhi like before ? He needs to ask these questions to ruhi and abhira and himself . I still feel he appreciates ruhi & her qualities but he never loved her that's for sure..
Ideally he should have ended with ruhi right before ruhi rohit wedding & pleaded her to take a call for her life ..But ideal way mei kuch hota nai ...
