Parity is when the tempos are similar. You should be able to make a medley of 4 songs (2 each for the parent and child) that have similar beats and tempo and you can switch from one to the other seamlessly. The more you’re able to do so, the better marks you’ll get. For eg. Dekha ek khwab and nach baliye.. these don’t have a similar tempo/ rhythm.

No doesn’t need to be solos, you can choose duets as well as long as 2 of the 4 songs feature the parent and 2 feature the offspring.

my doubt... only hindi songs allowed or any lang mix it can bne with the duos u mentioned?

Infact all the round and the efforts put into this is really commendable.

Yaar I selected a song and I found someone has sung a portion of it in previous VoIF contest . I am taking that as one of the 4 .

Sure you can sing more than 4 but make sure you have 2 minimum of parent and child and also make sure your medley fits within 6 mins.

Hello Folks,

Just listing out all the answers to the queries we've had so far for your benefit. If more come up, I'll add them here.

1. You need to choose a real-life parent-child actor pair eg. Amitabh-Abhishek or Sridevi- Jhanvi.

2. You need to sing a medley of minimum 4 songs, with 2 songs featuring the parent in the pair (2 songs of Amitabh) and 2 songs featuring the offspring (2 songs of Abhishek)

3. The songs can be solos or duets but need to feature one of the parent-child actor pair.

4. The medley needs to have parity and songs need to match in beats and tempo. For eg. You cannot blend Dekha ek Khwab with Nach baliye, however you can match up Ye kahan aa gaye hum with Mera mahi bada sona hai OR Janeja dhoondhta phir raha with Bebo main Bebo.

5. You can sing more than 4 songs provided the minimum criteria of 2 + 2 is met and you stay within the 6 minute time limit.

6. The songs need to be Hindi (Bollywood) songs only.

7. You're allowed to repeat songs if they've been already sung in the contest before.

8. Please mention the names of the songs, the actor featured and the movies when you send the entries.

the songs can be in any order ? like for example.... back and forth hosaktha hai? like 4 songs but part of one song comes in beginning and then again a bit comes between another song...like total mash up..... or should be in exact sequence one after the other and no back and forth....?

also can one song be for more duration than other or every song should be exact duration ?
