SR is Anirudh manifesting his inner wishes in a dream, not a realization. It was almost like he got some encouragement to give wings to his innermost feelings and he let them fly.

Their first hug was so smooth with zero awkwardness and it came a strange point. Ani always kept his distance, today he took her unspoken manipulated acquiescence to staying with him forever and ran with it, caressing her hair with his hands.

Was it clear that the promise of living with him forever came with her acceptance of a physical relationship as well? I was wondering how his ask would work if he was still planning to marry Arshi?

Arshi starts with grilling.. asks about J.. Ani says that she must have left for her exams.. Arshi asks if he is not sure.. he replied that he is in his room and he doesn't know.. she asks if he didn't take her to her exams..he looks upon J and says police will take her..

Arshi asks whether J' s wedding is happening or not???

Having said this, it didn’t leave any bitterness for ani. He was never perfect and acted only based on his likes and emotions. Now also he is doing the same. He is also not thinking about consequences like always.
