I did not like the 'love story' either, but I took it as the makers attempt to bring in some sort of a comic relief, to this other wise intense dark psychological thriller

For me , Minu is the zariya, that would solve a lot of problems, so which ever way they choose to bring her in, I will take it, they must just bring her in to address the job at hand
