It’s kind of frustrating to us viewers too to see him suddenly being a bit off compare to what he was like just few days ago. He is pacifying and being uncomfortable too and maybe a bit nervous about Jhanak’s exam and future. I don’t know how to explain Ani’s demeanor into correct wordings.

If anyone observed him and can explain in a better way then please do so!
